Gar Wood Securities Welcomes Brett Mezatis as Client Service & Trading Operations Representative
Naperville, Illinois – October 1, 2026 – Gar Wood Securities today announced that Brett Mezatis has joined the firm as a Client Service & Trading Operations Representative. In his new role, Mezatis supports the firm's trading operations and client service functions while also assisting the investment banking and compliance teams.
Mezatis recently graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in finance. His interest in the markets started well before college. After high school, he took a gap year to study trading strategies and market structure on his own. At Illinois State he joined the university's trading club and earned first place in its competition. He is currently studying for the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam.
